I am reading One Thousand Gifts: A Dare to Live Fully Right Where You Are by Ann Voskamp and it is having quite an effect on me. I am reading it slowly and letting the wisdom sink in. It speaks to me. I can relate to the anger, the impatience and the need to control. I can also relate to the thankfulness because I feel it in my heart.
It’s hard to feel thankfulness in everything – good and bad. While easy to be thankful lying on a beach sipping a tropical drink, it’s hard to feel thankful on a crowded stinking train. Or worse, in a hospital bed.
May we all find the grace we need. Thankfulness is the path to God.
