Snow cones on a hot day
Thin white paper with the curled rolled edge

Crunchy
Cold on teeth
Chills up spine
From the cold or the crunch?
Blue and red syrup
Staining my lips
Pooling at the bottom
Some areas watery some pure ice
Others dark red like blood
Getting to the bottom
Big chunks of stuck together ice
Trying to maneuver it with my mouth
bottoms up – ice hitting me in the nose
Dripping spilling sucking biting
upside down to get every last drop
