It appears that there is a trend now to elevate the ordinary. That you don’t have to be famous to be recognized. That it’s ok to be just a regular, normal person.
This is not new. “The Word became flesh.” John 1:14. Jesus came down to earth. The extraordinary embraced the ordinary. Jesus became an ordinary man, a carpenter. He didn’t come here to be a movie star or a rock star. If ordinary was good enough for Jesus it is most certainly good enough for me!
