This is a poem I wrote based on Psalm 23
I am on a journey and God is my guide
I didn't know where I was going I was lost
Now, I follow God and He leads me where I need to go
When I am tired he lets me rest
He shows me the right way and the right thing to do
If we must go through dangerous and scary places
I am not afraid
God is a good leader
I know that if he is taking me through a place there is a good reason
I trust that He knows best
I know he loves me and has my best interests at heart
If I stumble He picks me up
He comforts me
He reassures me
He feeds me
He overcomes my enemies
He protects me
I know that I am blessed and favored
My future holds goodness
I am on my way to the house of God
He has a room there with my name on it and I will live there with him forever
(Today is my son's birthday. He was born on the 23rd day and all things 23 remind me of him).
